Summer is here along with the heat.

I bought this fabric with a pre-smocked top section.  I loved the fabric but not how the smocking effect looked on me so I cut that off and made a cute sun dress.  I will save the smocking portion for a future summer bag.

The neck treatment is parachute rope from the craft section of the fabric store.  I could not believe I found the exact match for the purple color.

This dress is McCall’s 6115.  I have made this 3 times already.  It is very simple to make and many many choices to customize.

My accessories for the above picture was our kittens Minnie and Muffin – aka – The Minnie Muffins.

I am very glad that I took a look at my earlier version (from Muslin to Dress) of this dress and decided to recreate.  I used my own pattern created from a ready to wear princess dress that I really like.  The results are great and I have worn this look many times!

Sometimes the best end result comes from starting over……..
